Terri Allard with Gary Green - 28 September 2002

Terri Allard has an extraordinary talent for capturing the human spirit in her songs. With power-packed vocals and infectious energy she has the uncanny ability of moving her audiences to pin-drop silence.  Complimented by the knock-out harmonica playing of Gary Green, Terri's performances are among the most exciting we have been lucky enough to host at the Sleepy Hollow Folk Club.  The Virginia-based singer-songwriter has taken her rootsy blend of folk, country, and acoustic pop to countless clubs, coffeehouses and festivals throughout the U.S.

Terri was a finalist in the 1994 and 1997 Kerrville, Texas New Folk Festival Showcase, the 1997 Telluride Festival Troubadour Showcase, the 1997 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Showcase and at the 1995 and 1998 Emerging Singer-Songwriter Showcase at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in New York. Terri performed at the 1996 Olympic Village Coffeehouse, at Nashville's 1997 and 1998 Extravaganza and at the 1998 AM JAM Festival at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

She has joined the ranks of artists who have performed on popular festival stages, including the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, and the Bridgeton Folk Festival. In 1999 Terri was selected as a Main Stage Showcase Artist at the 1999 Folk Alliance Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Terri has received nominations for seven WAMMIES (Washington Area Music Association Awards), winning Best Female Country Vocalist in 1999.

We spotted her early:  Terri was one of the first performers at our house concert series.  Her memorable show at the "Folk Club" in 1997 with Gary Green led to a sell-out encore performance by the dynamic duo at out series in 1999.  We're happy to host Terri and Gary here again.

Additional information on Terri can be found on her web site.
